What Does Maple Valley Rotary Support?

For over 35 years Maple Valley Rotary has lived its motto of “Service Above Self” by supporting dozens of local, national and international organizations and individuals.

Every year, we donate tens of thousands of dollars to support many groups and causes that make Maple Valley a great place to live.

Here is just a short list of the organizations and programs we support on a regular

Vine Maple Place --Ending homelessness in South King County

Maple Valley Food Bank and Emergency Services

Maple Valley and Black Diamond Community Centers

Greater Maple Valley Veteran's Memorial – startup support for the launch of this multi-year project.

Scholarships for local students – annual support averaging $27,000 per year in cash for students.

Shop with A Cop – annual event connecting families in need with law enforcement officers and holiday shopping support.

Back Pack Buddies – supplemental weekend nutrition for Tahoma students

Community Behavioral Mental Health – providing local intake for teens and families in crisis

How are we able to support all of these programs?

The vast majority of the budget that we have to spend each year comes from one very important event: Our fundraising auction.

This year our auction is being held on Friday October 8th and we are dedicating our fund-a-need to help create and fund a Mental Health First Aid program for our youth.
